Trifonic: Making Pads with Spectral Dronemaker

In this video, Brian demonstrates how to make excellent pad sounds using the free spectral processing plug-in Spectral Dronemaker by composer Michael Norris.

Spectral Dronemaker is one of Trifonic’s favorite tools, and (as Brian discusses) it was used most recently to create sounds for their remix of Hybrid’s track Can You Hear Me.

    Drag the components into the library/audio/Plug-ins/components folder. Then they should show up in any audio unit compatible program.

    Thanks Denis! I'll have to check out the mac version too.

    Another suite that is worth checking out for both PC/Mac folks is the GRM plug-ins. They are very useful, stable and time tested spectral fx http://www.grmtools.com.

    Also on mac check out Soundhack and Spear.. craziness!
